Competitive
Company

Competitive Company is for dancers looking to push their training to the next level. They will represent the studio at local competitions and events.

Dancers will be chosen through an audition process and upon acceptance into the company, dancers make the commitment to put their dance training and fellow company members as top priorities. No dancer is required to be a member of the company, therefore, participation is considered a privilege and honor. It is important dancers and parents/guardians understand this commitment and obligation ahead of time. Company members are able to pursue other activities as long as competitions and training stay a priority!

More about our TEAMS

how is company broken down?

At CORE we have a few different options for company. We take into account dancer’s age, but it is much more dependent on commitment level, maturity, ability and attendance.

how many competitions do we attend per season?

We typically attend 4-5 regional competitions, 1-3 conventions. This does not include optional competitions and conventions that are offered throughout the year.

do we attend a nationals every year?

NO, we do not attend a nationals every year. It’s a case by case basis, dancers are always welcome to attend independently, even if we do not attend as a team.

ARE DANCERS REQUIRED TO TAKE CLASS DURING THE SUMMER?

YES, we understand that Summer is busy with vacations, but Minis are recommended 20 hours for the Summer. Junior, Teen, and Senior are required 30 hours per Summer including Intensive.

how many company members do we accept?

We don’t ever have a set number, we make our company appointments on attitude, teachability, commitment, technique, and class attendance.

Solo / DUo / TRIo Expectations:

  • Dancers will need to participate in group routine(s) in order to be considered for a s/d/t.

  • Dancers will need to be in good standing in technique class attendance and maintain minimum class requirements through the year.

  • NEW 25-26: A weekly / bi-weekly rehearsal will be required once choreography is complete.

  • Dancers will be responsible for Solo Choreography Fee.

  • Dancers will be responsible for their own costume or paying the studio costume fee.

  • Dancers will be responsible for additional competition entry fees — s/d/t entry fees are NOT included in your monthly team fees.

  • Solos are considered an even higher level of commitment and therefore everyone who wants a s/d/t may not be receive one. You must be an exemplarary teammate and excel in your group commitments before being considered for a s/d/t.
